The Joaquin ISD Board of Trustees will meet at 6 tonight, and among their agenda items for action will be the appraisal district calendar for next school year; the financial advisory services agreement with Southwest Securities; adopting the proposed tax rate for 2014; setting a public meeting for July 21 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed tax rate; and approve curriculum for Kindergarten and first grade. In addition, the board may go into executive session to discuss resignations, teacher positions and hiring. They’ll reconvene in open session to take action if needed.
