Former Nacogdoches ER doctor has license revoked

A former Nacogdoches emergency-room physician had his license revoked last month for making false statements on federal income-tax returns from 2004-2006 and then by pleading to a count to making a false statement on a 2005 tax return. Dr. David Mosig was employed through a contract with Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital before his license was revoked. The Texas Medical Board also denied his motion for a rehearing. His revocation was immediately effective. The 61-year old was indicted by a federal grand jury in Lufkin in 2011. Mosig was sentenced to six months home detention and ordered to pay $375,850 in restitution following his plea agreement in 2012.
