Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Tuesday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 Wednesday at Watson & Sons Chapel with interment at Sardis Cemetery, Shelby County. Wyman Roberts Funeral Home of San Augustine was in charge of a service Saturday for 84-year old Helen Lois Simmons of San Augustine. She passed away Thursday at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation in San Augustine. Burial was in Anacoco, Louisiana. Among Helen Lois Simmons survivors are, daughters, Brenda Bishop of San Augustine, Deborah Russell of Montgomery, Judy Short of Bastrop, Rhonda Palmisano of Broaddus, Paula Simmons and Cherly Gilcrease of Center and Patti Strawther of Houston; sons, Larry Simmons of Anacoco and Kenneth Simmons of Humble; sisters, Lila Akin of Center and Betty Paige of Anacoco; brothers, Bobby Smith of Camp Wood and Roy Smith of Anacoco. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, Dallas.
