A Dallas couple has been arrested in connection with several burglaries in Shelby County, including one caught on video surveillance last month.

According to reports, both 46-year old James T. Higganbotham and his girlfriend, 41-year old Kandy Nichols were arrested last Friday on warrants in Dallas County for their involvement.

Higginbotham and Nichols have been charged with burglary of a habitation.

The surveillance video was taken at a residence on County Road 2335 off of Hwy. 417 East of Shelbyville on May 24.

In addition to a rifle, jewelry and other personal items were removed.

Higginbotham and Nichols were both transported to Shelby County where they’re awaiting arraignment.
