Game warden recovering from injury sustained when ejected from patrol vessel

We told you yesterday that a Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden was severely injured when he was thrown from a boat Sunday afternoon on Lake Sam Rayburn.

There is a correction to that story, Game Warden Henry Alvarado was in fact on patrol with another warden in the lake when their vessel hit a wave, did a 180, and Alvarado was ejected from the boat. The warden’s leg was struck by the engine’s propeller, causing severe laceration.

Warden Alvarado was life-flighted to a Beaumont hospital where he’s reported to be in stable condition after surgery.
