Citizen's tip leads to drug manufacturing in Aiken Community, arrest made

Another tip has lead local law enforcement to an illegal drug manufacturing facility in the western part of Shelby County.

Sheriff Willis Blackwell said his department got information last Wednesday that a met lab was located inside a shop in the Aiken Community. According to a press release, Sheriff Blackwell said Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Renfro and Cody Muse, along with Narcotics Investigator John Pope converged on the location and made contact with two suspects.

Sheriff Blackwell said 49-year old Randy Fountain of Center and 43-year old Stacy Coats of Nacogdoches were found to be in possession of one gram of meth. Both were taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Coats was also wanted on a Nacogdoches County warrant for Violation of Probation, Original Charge: Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Sheriff Blackwell reminds citizens, if you see any out of the usual activity in your neighborhood, to contact his office or your local law enforcement and report it.
