At their regular meeting May 19, the Joaquin ISD Board of Trustees re-organized with Jay Dee Cockrell elected as president; Luke Garrett vice president; and Ronnie Belrose chosen as board secretary.

The board also voted to hire the following teachers, Ronna Yates, Tara Harris, and Tori LaFluer, and Ashley Cogburn as a counselor. The Joaquin ISD Board of Trustees will meet again June 16.
