Tyler, TX, June 13, 2018: Workforce Solutions East Texas invites professionals who work with youth to attend a free conference next week posing the question, "How do we bridge the employment gap for youth (14-24) with differences?". The conference will be held at Holiday Inn Tyler - South Broadway, located at 5701 South Broadway, on Thursday, June 21st, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 
This will be the 12th Youth Professionals Conference hosted by Workforce Solutions East Texas Board's Youth Advisory Committee to date. This year's conference will feature keynote speakers, a panel discussion and concurrent sessions including topics such as self-advocacy, soft skills, overcoming barriers which occur in the interviewing and hiring process for individuals with disabilities, and accessing resources. Attendees will spend the day learning how to better engage and connect with the youth today while earning CEU credits, if applicable.
 
The panel discussion will focus on bridging the employment and education gaps and will include regional specialists on the topic:
